This is a traditional Acomo pottery bowl that was used in a ritual Roof-top Ceremony in which the bowl was actually thrown from the roof of a Pueblo at Acoma, New Mexico. One lucky person was able to catch this piece of the many that were thrown and destroyed. The Acoma Bowl is made of hand coiled clay and hand painted with natural paints found in the plants of nature. The bowl has a diameter of 6 inches and stands 4-1/2" Tall. Signed with initials R.V.
