This amazing miniature basket is hand woven entirely of genuine horsehair (from the tail) by the Papago Indians, also known as the Tohono O'odham which means "people of the desert," of Southern Arizona. The Papago are well known for their skilled basket weaving which is a finely tuned craft carried on throughout the tribe for centuries. This piece measures 3/4" wide.
